Tea of the Day!

Alfalfa Leaf (Wellcat): 0/5

Ruth told me that Alfalfa leaf makes for a nice, sweet tea. She was getting rid of faded bags at the time, so I told her I'd take one. Now, I've never eaten grass, but I've cut plenty of it. I know what it smells like. This drink smelled like grass tea with sugar in it. And it tasted about what I would think that grass with sugar would taste like. I could not even finish the cup. Blegh.

Extra: The Irish make a strong cup of tea, or 'cupan tae' in Gaelic. Irish tea is blended to be mixed with lots of rich milk - up to a third of the cup. The custom is to add milk first, then pour in the tea.
