Tea of the Day!

Chicory Root (Wellcat): 1/5

A tea of "roasted granules." Often used as a coffee substitute (see American Civil War), something I did not know until after I finished my cup. It tasted like drinking burnt. Like, take anything, burn it, scrape off the black crunchy bits, and steep them. That is Chicory Root tea. Blegh.

Extra: Before the Japanese tea ceremony, tea participants wash their hands or sip a cup of water before entering the tea hut, symbolically rinsing away worldly thoughts and problems.
