It's International Women's Day! (I used to be so on top of my thematic holidays here...)
1931 Sudanese Woman

1940s Mother and Child from Orava, Slovakia

1870 Chinese Women

Three Women from Guadeloupe

Welsh Women

A Woman picking tea in Sri Lanka (thank you!)

1971 Indonesian Girls

1910 Wishham Bride (notice the Chinese coins on her headdress. Yay trade routes!)

1930s A Japanese Maiko (apprentice geisha)

Himalayan Woman, "The Witch of Ghoom" - a fortune teller

Romanian Gypsy Girls

Maori Woman

2010 Some of my favorite International Women ^_^ (Machi, Suzi, Me, Alicia)

Yes, there are more photographs in this post than normal. Let's face it, there are a lot of us around. And that's another reason why I don't understand the current desire to be as thin as a rail. The more space we take up, the more of us there is the be reckoned with.

Love,Debbie:)
I think there's a typo...it's not Oeova, but Orava, to be exact. Greetings from Slovakia :)
Thank you, Nina! Will fix! ^_^
I love the ethnic photos. So much history and multi-cultural beauty in them.
